Damon’s Grill

This grill and bar is perfect for any sporting event. And with any good sporting event comes big screen TVs and buffalo wings. I sat down at Damon’s Grill to see what they had to offer.

The wings came out with the usual sides of celery and blue cheese. I always order extra sauce on the side because you never know if the wings will be too dry. It’s a good thing too, because I needed to dip into that reserve. The portions were average in size, but that didn’t help much as the meat was very dry and overcooked. Normally in this situation I would rely on the sauce to make the dry wings taste better. A sort of counter-balance if you will. But I am afraid that the sauce fell a little flat in that department as it had no heat or real flavor, just a basic Tabasco taste. The good news to the low heat, however, is that it was prime choice for getting my kids to eat some (which is important because I need more wing eaters in my family). One other nice thing to see was that they had a good wing-to-drum ratio, which is always a plus because I prefer wing over drum, and drum will usually outnumber wing on a plate.

This would be considered a normal wing dish at any bar. However, I am not looking for normal. All-in-all, I would classify these as good drunken food that tastes okay, but gets better the more you drink.
